Aaaaalllrighty, I better go through this.
First of all, select your type. You must stick to only using that type. However, you may use up to 2 pokemon of a different type, so long as they know at least 2 moves of your selected type. Does that make sense?
Next, you must have a qualification battle against me.
*Please note that, even though I am the champion, beating me will not gain you access to that title, as you have not collected all 8 badges nor beaten the elite 4.*
In fact, beating me will grant you access to you title as Gym Leader. So, therefore, people can challenge you. You are also in charge of designing your own badge.
About that challenging...
so, people must issue you a challenge and you must have your rules for battle specified.
You may bad ONE pokemon, ONE item, and ONE ability from your gym. Note this is optional, and you do not have to do this.

Secondly, to become an elite 4..
You must have held the occupation as a gym leader for at least 2 weeks and defeated 2 challengers.
Other than that, all rules about gyms and gym leaders apply to you.
However, you may use up to 3 pokemon of a different type as long as they know at least 2 moves of your type.
(i.e Aurorus on a Psychic team, as it can learn calm mind and barrier. It would need to know both of those moves to be used though.)
Does that all make sense?
